We’re proud to share the incredible experience of our very own William Farrell, who recently participated in the Revisit Korea Program, sponsored by the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs.

From October 25-31, William returned to South Korea, a country that holds special significance in his life. As a 17-year-old Private First Class in 1970, he was stationed at Camp St. Barbara, just five miles south of the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ). Now, 54 years later, he celebrated his 72nd birthday in the same country where he once turned 18.

William shared his thoughts on this remarkable journey:

“The Revisit Korea Program was an absolutely amazing experience. When I was stationed there in 1970, Korea was still recovering from war. The Republic of Korea I saw on this trip was not the Korea I remember from 1970. The South Korean people are extremely grateful for us allowing them to live in a free society, a far cry from what’s happening just over the border.”

This program not only honors our veterans but also strengthens the bond between our nations. We’re grateful for William’s service and for sharing his story.
