The Newport Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 406 invites the public to help place flags on the graves of all veterans that are buried in Newport’s cemeteries this Saturday November 9th starting at 9 AM. A memorial service in the newly renovated Belmont Chapel will be held at noon in which all men and women from Newport who gave their lives in war will be honored. This is the first time in over 70 years this ceremony has been able to be held in the Belmont Chapel.
