Newport VFW Post 406 continues its mission to engage with the community by attending the Audrain Cars and Coffee at 2nd Beach in Middletown. Audrain has been very supportive of Post 406’s efforts to engage veterans and the wider Newport community at their events. The Post distributed Buddy Poppies in advance of its many upcoming Memorial Day events. The star of the car show was an Army LMTV displayed by 2 great soldiers from the 327th Medical Company from the US Army Reserve Center at Naval Station Newport. The soldiers were busy answering questions about their service and the vehicle to the many Cars and Coffee attendees. Their support is much appreciated.
