VFW Post 406 Newport, along with the Newport Historical Society and Fort Adams Trust, will honor veterans with a special performance of the Navy Band Northeat Trident Brass Quintet at Fort Adams starting at 6:00 pm. In addition to the concert, Fort Adams will be a host site for National Picnic Day with food trucks and FREE Ben & Jerry’s ice cream for the first 200 guests. Spend the day at Fort Adams with a relaxed, bring your own picnic. Grounds open at 9:00 am. All family and friends are welcome to attend, and VFW Post 406 members are encouraged to wear Post 406 gear to show support for our post.
