For the second year in a row, VFW 406 set the season high for the the 50/50 raffle at the game. Despite many empty seats in the stadium due to the threat of rain, post members could sell $1372 in tickets for the 50/50 raffle – over $350 more than last year!
As luck would have it, the winning ticket was held by a woman who is close friends with Mark Turner & his wife Coleen. Upon being notified that she won, she returned her winnings to the Post! A portion of these proceeds will support Gold Star Sailing, while the remainder will be used by the post to help other Veterans.
