On Saturday, February 11th, 2023 the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Department of Rhode Island is hosting the Rhode Island Veteran Empowerment Day at the Wyndham Hotel, Middletown. This is a multi-faceted event to bring together Veterans, their families, Veteran Organizations and Veteran Service Providers for a day of education and networking. The goal of this event is to empower you and your family to be educated in benefits and resources you and your family may qualify for.

The day will feature speakers (including the VFW National Commander-in-Chief Tim Borland); a choice of seminars on VA Benefits (Health, Education, Disability & Finance), the PACT Act, and transition out of military service.

If you are not interested in taking classes, you are more than welcome to visit the service providers and organizations that are available for your assistance and needs.**

A Career Room may be available for companies looking to hire attendees looking for a career.  Companies will be confirmed at a later date.  An email will be sent to all attendees registers with a list of companies once they have confirmed their attendance.

There will be something for Veterans of all eras, including those who are still serving! This event is FREE for all veterans and their families to attend!

As of 2/10/2023, preregistration is now closed. On-site registration will open at 0715 at the Wyndham Hotel, 240 Aquidneck Ave. Middletown RI. 02842 on 02/11/23 Walk-ins are Welcome!
