On Wednesday, November 10th, the members of VFW Post 406 are holding a special Veterans Day event that the public and all veterans are cordially invited to attend. Please arrive at 5:00 pm to the Newport Elks Lodge 104, 141 Pelham Street, Newport, RI. Light hors d’oeuvres will be provided as well as access to a cash bar. At 5:30 pm Captain Mark L. Turner (USN Ret.) will present the lecture- “Veterans-Pillars of a Nation” in the Honor Room followed by socializing. Come meet your local veterans and honor their service to our nation.
